Description Position Summary The Staff Accountant is a key role within the Accounting Department at Arrow Companies, LLC.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day accounting activities are completed accurately, and timelines met.
In addition to daily cash reconciliations and reviewing supplier payables for processing, the role will be integral in the monthly closing process, financial reporting, supporting, and acting as a backup in our A/R and A/P area, and providing analytical support across the company.
Responsibilities Take over the daily cash management review, ensuring proper cash flow and identifying potential issues.
Work with our Purchasing Dept.
, review, track and verify payments due to our suppliers.
Assist in monthly close process and financial statement preparation including account reconciliations and supporting backup for financials.
Maintain general ledger accounts, record journal entries, provide variance analysis and ensure accounts are correct in our current ERP (Microsoft Dynamics GP).
Assist with budget preparation and standard cost updates.
Assume responsibility for various state filings each month.
Understand the accounting processes to help with day-to-day operations.
Provide support to our A/R and A/P area and act as backup when needed.
Review payables and code invoices.
Assist in HR functions as needed including payroll and benefits.
Assist other departments with analytical support as needed.
Provide support and handle projects and other responsibilities as needed.
Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in accounting.
Minimum 3 years of related experience Familiar with Standard Costs Detail orientated with outstanding analytical skills.
Tech savvy, proficient with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics GP) and Excel Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
